Hanna Bisson Borok is the visionary, founder, designer and creative director behind the esteemed brand ARISTAU. Hanna’s journey is a testament to her resilience and innovation. Born in Bucharest, Romania under the oppressive regime of Nicolae Ceausescu, she escaped the country with her twin sister at a young age to find refuge in Paris adopted by a French aristocratic family.
Hanna was raised in a distinguished family of diplomats, science politicians, authors, and a jurist father, surrounded by elevated social circles and immersed in a culture of intellectual and artistic refinement. Her upbringing was deeply rooted in the strict codes of tradition, where excellence, elegance, and a strong sense of values shaped her identity. Immersed in Parisian high society, she was introduced at a young age to the world of exclusive Parisian rallyes which gather young aristocrats for cultural and networking events. These gatherings brought together the aristocracy and bourgeoisie, offering her a firsthand view of the intricate interplay between social etiquette and fashion.
Her formative years were deeply influenced by the creative and daring fashion movements of her time with Tom Ford's provocative ''Porn Chic''era, as well as, Christian Lacroix, John Galliano, Thierry Mugler. This fusion of tradition and bold innovation shaped her distinctive aesthetic.
Her passion for fashion led her to study at prestigious design and fashion institutions in Paris such as Creapole and Esmod under the mentorship of Jean Charles de Castelbajac. She complimented her education with an image consultant license from the International Success Institute in Paris mastering morpho-psychology and style. Her professional journey spans roles in styling, assisting, wholesaling, and client advisory for luxury houses like Sonia Rykiel and Azzaro providing her with comprehensive expertise in the fashion process. She started from the ground up, gaining hands-on experience in every phase of the fashion process up to the retail floor.
These experiences culminated in the creation of ARISTAU, a brand embodying Hanna’s vision of timeless elegance, sustainability, and magnetic femininity. Blending her Transylvanian heritage with Parisian refinement, ARISTAU reflects her life's journey and artistic vision, offering a brand experience that is both uplifting and timeless.
